Our eight cores are designed to aid in your overall theological formation. You will also choose a number of electives that will enhance your personal ministry goals.
Each semester, your study will the include the following:
Once a semester you’ll travel to Liverpool, UK where you will gather for lectures and fellowship over the course of a four-day intensive.
Twice a semester, students will join a video conference with their professors to gauge their learning and ask questions that may have come up in their studies.
An essential principle of Grimké is in-context training. Students apply what they are learning in their own local church. The student’s church will immediately benefit from their education.
As our seminary students pursue an MTS or BDiv degree, they also have the choice to concentrate in a specific area of ministry.
The Applied Theology concentration allows students to focus their studies on church planting and revitalization.
Study at the Carey Centre with our Church Planting and Revitalization concentration to help train future planters, revitalizers, and missiologists.
After the completion of four courses, you’ll receive a Certificate in Christian Ministry.
Complete four additional courses to receive a Diploma in Theological Studies.
Complete all required courses to receive your Master of Theological Studies.
Grimké intentionally utilizes the non-residential model of seminary education to highlight the importance of theological education occurring in local churches, taught by professors who are pastors.
